Math intensive course (Quantitative Section)

During this intensive 2-day weekend course you will receive a very detailed and comprehensive overview of the mathematical principles required to successfully complete the Quantitative section of the GMAT. You will learn to correctly apply mathematical theories to solve GMAT problems and to choose the right approach for each type of question. Various examples will be presented and discussed in groups.

The basic principles of mathematics that are required for the GMAT will be explained in detail and visualized with numerous examples.

This course is designed for candidates who have difficulties with this section or want to obtain an above average score.

The course will be a review of the following topics:

  • Introduction to Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency questions
  • Arithmetic (proportions, roots, powers)
  • Algebra
  • Geometry (triangles, polygons, solids)
  • Sets
  • Percent calculation
  • Interest calculation (incl.compounded interest)
  • Coordinate systems
  • Functions
  • Equations and Inequalities
  • Quadratic equations and systems of equations
  • Probability
  • Combinatorics
  • "Word-Problems"
  • "Work-Problems"

    This course places special emphasis on choosing the right techniques to solve the problems. All roads lead to Rome, but not all equally fast!
